There's Nothing Like Receiving A Card
There's nothing like receiving a card in your mailbox to make you feel special -- and even more so when it's one made by someone featuring their creative side. Deedle-Dee Doodles challenge's you to make your own celebration cards to send out.
Bokeh is one of the hottest trends in stamping, cardmaking and papercrafting, and you can achieve this look quickly and easily with your sponge daubers! If you don’t have sponge daubers try circle stamp in various sizes, like in my Lots of Letters or Pretty Patterns sets. Be sure to stamp and stamp off in each color you choose to create the different shades and hazy quality that is signature to bokeh. View the video on "Sponge Bokeh" at Melanie Muenchinger's Hands, Head & Heart blogspot.
The Bokeh Technique by Mary Ellen (Stampin' Up Demonstrator) suggests to Google Bokeh and look at Images for some inspiration. Watercolor paper is a must! Aqua Painter or water and a paintbrush will work too. Mary Ellen likes the look of using the Blue Painters tape around her background for 2 reasons. One, it gives a nice border/matted look and two it keeps the paper flat because when you add water as it wants to curl. Read more ...
There are some fantastic website's out there that are sure to help "inspire and even show-off" your clever-creations before handing them to your recipients, and one that I just love-to-be-inspired-by is, Freshly Made Sketches. The "Clean Team" has come up with some "Freshly Made" designs to get you in the spirit! Sketch #177 challenge (shown) closes at 12:00 PDT on Monday, March 16th. So, I browsed through my vast collection of images and thought these would be one's that would inspire you to create crafts/cards seeing how Spring is near and Eastertime!
And for those of you who would like to color your images here's a few you may want to use now, or add to your image collection for later use!
Veronica asked "Dear Debbie" of Debbie's Designs (Stampin' Up Demonstrator): Can you use Blendabilities to color your stamps? And to answer this question, Debbie has loaded photo's to show her own results, so you can decide, if it's worth trying.
Next to an assorted addiction to paper crafting and cradmaking I also love spending my evenings (most of the time) in front of the television watching my favorite shows while crocheting. And my favorite collection of crochet Patterns can be found on Pinterest! I try to list only the FREE Crochet Patterns I've come across and the one's that aren't I usually stipulate the pattern cost.

Some Fun Crafts! Free Halloween Printables: Coffin Treat Box at Squishy Cute Designs! If you would like to try their skeleton brownie idea, they have the instructions for it down on the second half of this page. They created their box so that it would be deep enough and long enough for their brownie skeletons to fit nicely. You have the choice between the PDF lid that says “Death by Chocolate” or there is a plain PDF lid that only says “R.I.P.” if you don’t intend on filling the box with some kind of chocolate. Then print out the coffin bottom on white cardstock as well. The bottom goes with either lid.
